Question: so you would be always working from the same directory? Isn't slow in dev if you have to recompile the whole project every time you make a change?

sven 2017-11-05 14:41:25 Do you have a lib folder inside the dist one? Are the dist and the lib folder the same?
jonas.pauthier 2017-11-05 14:42:15 yup perhaps that's my mistake they have the same structure
sven 2017-11-05 14:43:05 But the dist in just the compiled files of the lib folder, right?
jonas.pauthier 2017-11-05 14:43:13 yup
sven 2017-11-05 14:43:13 It's normal that they have the same structure But since they have the same structure relative module should be working in both cases ok
jonas.pauthier 2017-11-05 14:43:47 yeah I know but like I tried to explain in the gist, it is a pain in the ass to have path such as ../../../../utils so I'm wondering if there isn't a better way to do so. that's the easy solution
sven 2017-11-05 14:45:45 I got it now
jonas.pauthier 2017-11-05 14:46:03 cool :slightly_smiling_face:
sven 2017-11-05 14:46:28 Usually I'm using Webpack alias for that :slightly_smiling_face: have you tried it? The babel-plugin-module-resolver looks good
jonas.pauthier 2017-11-05 14:47:23 I don't need any bundling for the nodeJS part so it felt like overkill to add webpack
sven 2017-11-05 14:47:37 sure
jonas.pauthier 2017-11-05 14:48:14 perhaps I ought to write my own plugin for that matter
sven 2017-11-05 14:49:05 Babel is passing a dirname info to the plugin now. I think that babel-plugin-module-resolver is not using it Actually the plugin author requested it lol
jonas.pauthier 2017-11-05 14:52:11 haha feels like a detective work haha so now have to know where the use of it is at
<#6436> Simplify dirname option in plugins/presets?. (<@loganfsmyth>)
babel-core actually is it already part of the v7.0.0-beta.5 As it been released already?
sven 2017-11-05 14:58:36 Note that the API changed (not sure they have already changed thought)
