Question: Does anyone know if this will stop working with Elm 0.19? I read on Reddit that native modules will be restricted in 0.19.

ephemeralden 2018-03-07 07:46:36 Anybody here familiar with hamiltop/rethinkdb-elixir? I'm trying to use the pluck function, but it seems to return Invalid path argument no matter what I do. Has anyone used pluck before with success?
norpan 2018-04-01 07:20:49 Elixir 1.6 has mix format :slightly_smiling_face: gotta try it out not sure i like the pipeline formatting, it’s not like in Elm :slightly_smiling_face:
pdamoc 2018-04-01 07:27:19 given that elixir is not elm… I guess it’s fine. I’ve enable format on save for elixir as soon as I could and never looked back.
norpan 2018-04-01 07:28:03 which editor are you using? never mind, found atom-elixir-formatter :slightly_smiling_face:
pdamoc 2018-04-01 07:45:33 SublimeText but yeah, one should find plugins that do this for Atom and VSC too.
dustinfarris 2018-04-01 16:03:21 this was my first impression as well!
squaresurf 2018-04-02 16:40:00 Ale for vim also has support for the formatter.
stoft 2018-04-03 10:31:46 Not having tried it, what is the pipeline formatting?
norpan 2018-04-03 10:59:10 No indentation for pipelines:
|> pipeline2 |> pipeline1
stoft 2018-04-03 11:32:58 oic, ty :slightly_smiling_face: not that bad imo
norpan 2018-04-03 11:38:39 No, maybe having the code formatted more differently actually helps to avoid confusion what language you are actually using :slightly_smiling_face: Had some confusing moments where a map had _both_ a string and an atom with the same name I’m still confused over atoms vs strings in elixir and the syntax for them
stoft 2018-04-03 11:57:53 :"is_this_an_atom" ? :slightly_smiling_face:
50kudos 2018-04-03 12:04:25 String key is rare, it’s only used for matching data from external, to prevent over-creating atom in the system.
stoft 2018-04-03 12:07:26 Not only external, any more or less dynamic key type for example generated id:s. (albeit they tend to be generated due to interaction with external parties…)
norpan 2018-04-03 12:39:14 @mgriffith is there a plan for IE11 compatibility? I get elements stacking on top of each other sorry wrong channel :slightly_smiling_face:
