roffe 2017-08-07 06:40:06 @paveld85 https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/services-networking/service/#without-selectors aha you updated the question. sorry
A records for any Endpoints that share a name with the service, for all other types.
CNAME records for ExternalName-type services.
For headless services that do not define selectors, the endpoints controller does not create Endpoints records. However, the DNS system looks for and configures either: you must create the endpoints yourself

roffe 2017-08-07 06:47:00 @paveld85 you’re welcome :slightly_smiling_face: I use it quiet alot to access external services from within my k8s cluster :slightly_smiling_face:
oyarimtepe 2017-08-07 07:56:09 i followed the complete ingress example here: https://github.com/nginxinc/kubernetes-ingress/tree/master/examples/complete-example but unable to get any response from the ingress ip, indeed i dont see any exernal ip but curling the node ip, any idea what i am doing wrong? when i curl it i got connection reset the ip addres i saw is one of the node ips no success on curling foo.com even tried this example: http://containerops.org/2017/01/30/kubernetes-services-and-ingress-under-x-ray/
amulholland 2017-08-07 08:22:28 Hey all, I’m still looking into how to extract laravel logs from /var/www/storage/logs directory within a K8s Pod. I’ve got fluentd grabbing logs from pods, but it doesn’t pick up on the storage ones.
roffe 2017-08-07 08:37:55 Warning everyone, they seem to have destroyed heketi y-day with some new dev branch so basicly you cannot follow their deploy guide as it will not produce anything working while some of the components reference :latest which is heketi 4 all their examples is referencing :dev on heketi page, which gives heketi 5
jazzsir 2017-08-07 08:43:06 @oyarimtepe I followed this inststruction( https://crondev.com/kubernetes-nginx-ingress-controller/ ). If you use RBAC, I think it's worth trying this.
khrm 2017-08-07 09:54:13 Is it me only or https://kubernetes.io/docs/tutorials/kubernetes-basics/cluster-interactive/ is really not working?
sabrehagen 2017-08-07 11:10:28 Hey all, does anybody know how to set the timezone for events displayed in kubernetes dashboard?
moonek 2017-08-07 11:20:42 When the pod of the k8s cluster tries to communicate with the external system to which the firewall rule is applied, the external system must release the firewall with the IP of all the k8s cluster nodes. If the k8s cluster has hundreds of nodes, the problem becomes serious. Is there a solution for this?
argonqq 2017-08-07 11:47:32 @roffe Finally achieved ingress to work! :thumbsup_all:
